Color my thumb green

Almost eleven months into married life and I've observed my transformation into the homemaker me. Naks! Now I do more cooking, sweeping, cleaning, laundry, the works! Excitement now meant finding a good deal on home related stuff or creating something for the bhiehive.  And lately, I found joy in gardening. They refresh and sooth the tirednsexy me. :P

I was ogling cacti and succulents for a while now actually. I bought my trial plants ~4months ago but they all died. I guess I have blackthumb by default, or probably pink?  Anyway, I don't give up easily so I continued searching for proper care for these babies.

So far,,, so good.
Here's a snapshot of my mini vertical garden.

I will share some tips on proper care and styling your mini garden in a separate post.

No big deal

It's been a while since my last entry. Too many things had happened. They aren't worth the buzz though.  How can being engaged, getting married, seeing winter, spring and fall, incessantly enjoying summer, winning over trials, doing the things you love, losing weight and gaining it back, sailing on our journey called life, be much of a big deal!?! Really!, it happens to everyone for goodness sake!

Alright this sarcasm is a fluff.  These are my life's milestones, of course they matter to me,,, so much! I suppose what I'm trying to say, with all modesty is, many beautiful things happened to me.  Things that I could have blogged.
Someday I know I will be looking at and reading back the things I posted here like I did an hour ago. I felt good about it and made me smile. It reminded me of, well,,,me!
So!,,, I think I should continue this web logging. Not for anyone else, but me.

2012!

My 2012 is similar to a fitness program. It was all about core strengthening and toning. It was hard work but greatly improved my general well being. I just had to sweat and shed the excesses out :) - literally and figuratively!

To a "shapier" me in 2013 - :) hehe!!! CHEERS!!!

Unleash the Animal

Animal print and/or skins, (especially the leopard) seems to be a popular trend these days.  You can find it anywhere, from Rustan's to Tiangges, from a shoe bow(accent), bag, leggins or even a full wardrobe.  Of course not everyone's into it, but somehow, I think I do.  :) I got the chance to arrange some of my things today and realized it could be one of my unconscious preference, or what fashionista's call, "style."   With something plain (no ruffles, no flower, no graphic. no fabric work),  it must be with hardware or, ANIMAL PRINT.
(These  items were bought even before the animals joined the mainstream :) )

old VINCCI sandals(snake skin print)

Another snake skin printed platforms

 Snake skin accent on Fergie

annnnd another for this black peep-toe :)

Bag with faux crocodile skin accent

Crocky print straw bag.

 Everyday faux crocodile bag

ZEBRA print bag

and my favorite ZEBRA leather shoes.

It's a match!

And since the LEOPARD rave, here are my conscious buys for the sake of this trend.
Sandals.

and SHEER COVER-UP (with lace trimming)
I'm excited to wear this, maybe on our family reunion on New Year's day.

and a SCARF (from Ina).

Wearing animal prints can be tricky and one may look tacky.  So unless you want to be a Lady GAGA or a house carpet.  Wear each sparingly.  I know you will ELD. :)

and so my conscience has spoken:
(written on a lazy Friday afternoon - counting down to a Vacay ending soooon - resisting the fridge and the inviting bedroom - I should be exercising, not bloggin,,,hehehe!)

Cliche!

The description " best gift ever" might be a cliche but I'm out of words for the advance Christmas gift I received this evening
I was finishing my tea and Fibee keeps on telling me to go up, to our room, already. I thought she's just sleepy after drinking her anti-allergy. And then I finally gave in and went to our room.  Lying on the center of our bed is this:

I knew instantly that bond paper was covering something.  These!!! (candies, cereal, angry birds bracelet and coin purse)

My little Chichay and her gifts to IMI (me)

My heart melted.  My chichay deserves a squeeze ( hug with a kiss!)

Most people say, she doesn't look like Mommy, but she's as thoughtful and sweet as mommy can be ;) Lablab my Fibee!

Versus

After the Halloween party.   Fibee and I had this fun pictorial. The concept was Mom vs. Ibeyb. Ok,,,there really wasn't any concept. We're just trying to have fun,,,and we did. :) :) :)  Here are the pics:

 AND THIS ONE'S MY FAVORITE!
Been You Tubing make-up techniques for a while now.  Didn't have the chance to apply those, just now.  I guess I'll be more experimental next time (for parties).
This one's really subtle (and worn-off already) but I was satisfied how I registered in the camera. A little devilish :)
I had fun using the liquid eye liner - the reliable Ever Bilena (recommended by Gerry).  It doesn't smudge like the gel ones.  I used Cover Girl mineral powder foundation, L'oreal bronzer, Vital radiance brow powder Ever Bilena lip and cheek tint for the lips and E.L.F gloss. More more practice.

And by the way, this maybe is a perfect illustration of what Fibee and I will be when she's already a teen.  I'm just starting and will already end thinking about it. argh! I'm glad that's ++ years away. :)

Thanks to Tito Bhie for the pictures.

Happy Feet :)

I made a silent vow to myself to alter my shoe buying habits. By alter, I meant, cost-cut, limit or even avoid. I'd been successful for three months but minutes ago, the truce got broken :D

It started with a blog, and then another blog and another and another, redirecting me to a multiply site. http://www.facebook.com/asianvogue. And then I saw it, the one that captivated my heart(or toes). And so I let days passed, telling the budget savvy part of me that I can put it on hold. And tonight, I opened my laptop, surfed the web(again) and found myself staring at that pretty thing, again! Next thing I knew, I submitted this order form to http://asianvogue.multiply.com/photos and felt exuberant.

Finally, the distraction will become an inspiration ( to do my Artegraphy orders to cover it's cost) In weeks, mine will again be a HAPPY FEET :D :) Weeeee!!!!
Check out Asiavogue @ multiply: http://asianvogue.multiply.com/photos or their FB page: http://www.facebook.com/asianvogue.  Your Toes might need some happiness too!
